Eastern North Carolina native, DDT is best described not as an artist, but as a multimedia creative. Currently focusing largely on pop art and inspired by pop style, much of his work explores socially relevant people, ideas, and or cultural narratives. The promotion of self love, self expression and identity is also very important to him. DDT not only paints traditionally, but also works with wood, ceramics, denim, and found materials to create both static and functional art. Some of the works he has made include paintings, pottery, sculpture, and custom clothing including patches, jackets, shirts, etc.

Whether they come from an inspiring quote, friend, dream, or I just need to spill out emotions, painting has been one of the most healing outlets for me. There’s nothing like sipping on some good tea in the sun pouring your heart out on canvas. Touch is one of my most prominent senses, so naturally I veer toward textured pieces.
